Prikosymphono

A stop motion short film set on the Greek island of Lefkada. A girl discovers a 1955 dowry list belonging to her great-aunt, prompting her grandfather to recall his sister Armenia's arranged marriage and departure from the island.
MFA thesis film, made as part of a four-person team. Built inside a handmade fabric world meant to evoke faded memory — puppets sewn from old and new fabric, dressed in miniature clothing including 40+ hand-sewn shirts, socks, and garments. Animated with handmade wire armature puppets, clay, plasticine, found objects, and archival pieces from 1955 including original coins, photographs, and the dowry itself. Candle lighting throughout.
Roles: lead animator, puppet and armature fabrication, sewing, lighting, sound design, color grade, editing, subtitles. Condensed a 45-minute recorded monologue to a 4-minute film.
